Reforest Radar is a Chrome new-tab prototype. It stores restored tile counts locally in Chrome storage so the grid can remember progress on the same browser profile.

Data collected

Local restored tile count for each demo patch.
No browsing history.
No page content.
No search terms.
No telemetry endpoint in the MVP.

Third parties

The extension includes a local source link to NASA Earth Observatory. That page opens only when the user clicks it. The MVP does not send extension usage data to NASA, Global Forest Watch, restoration platforms, or a Reforest Radar backend.

Retention and deletion

Tile progress remains in Chrome local extension storage until the user clears extension data or removes the extension.
